Mark Edwardson Born March, 1967
St Helens, MerseysideOccupation TV Presenter Mark Edwardson is a TV news presenter for BBC North West Tonight, mainly presenting weekend bulletins.[1] He is also a seasoned radio presenter having hosted the breakfast shows at BBC Radio Stoke [2] and BBC GMR. He has since appeared in BBC One show DIY SOS and an episode of CBBC's Prank Patrol. Mark has also voiced roles in BBC Network Radio plays.
Background
Edwardson was born in March, 1967 at Cowley Hill Hospital in St Helens, Merseyside and grew up in nearby Haydock. He attended English Martyrs RC Primary School in Haydock, St Edmund Arrowsmith Catholic High School, Ashton in Makerfield and St John Rigby College, Wigan. He obtained an honours degree at Edge Hill College, Ormskirk.
He survived the Hillsborough Disaster, and presented an emotional special report on North West Tonight on the day of the 20th anniversary of the disaster.
