Latino Perspectives Magazine

Latino Perspectives Magazine

Latino Perspectives Magazine is a monthly magazine publication based in Phoenix, Arizona and founded in September 2004. The magazine's core focus and audience is English-speaking Hispanic Americans, mainly in the Southwestern United States. The publication is the brainchild of publishers Ricardo Torres and Jim Diaz. Ricardo Torres successfully launched a Spanish-language weekly publication called La Voz, then sold his publication to Gannett.

In the first year of publication, the magazine was helmed by Editor James E. Garcia. After setting the format that carried Latino Perspectives through its inception, Garcia has since continued on as a recognized playwright and commentator for National Public Radio. In May 2005, the publication gained prestige as Garcia, contributing writer Anita Mabante Leach and Creative Director Charles Sanderson all were awarded by the Arizona Press Club for their efforts.
