John Crowley (director)

John Crowley (born 1969) is an Irish BAFTA-winning television director theatre and film director who has received critical acclaim in both mediums and has had huge success on both sides of the Atlantic with his theatre work.Fact|date=April 2007

He has a degree in philosophy from University College Cork.

Crowley is a former associate director at the Donmar Warehouse Theatre in London.In May 2005 Crowley, along with Danny Boyle, launched the UK Film Council Development Fund's “25 Words or Less: Director’s Cut” scheme to develop a feature film project. Crowley particularly wants to " create a contemporary ‘rebirth’ or transformation story about a man or woman who begins as someone that spreads coldness" [http://www.screenwm.co.uk/news/2005/04/fancy-writing-feature.asp] .
