Brooklands is a
Manchester Metrolink station serving the Brooklands area ofSale, Greater Manchester . It is located on Brooklands Station Approach at the corner of Marsland Road and Brooklands Road. The station is in Ticketing Zone F.History
The station originally opened on
1 December 1859 by the Manchester South Junction and Altrincham Railway (MSJAR). Built following approach from Samuel Brooks, a Manchester banker, who built a large speculative estate of large houses along Brooklands Road. Closed as aBritish Rail station on24 December 1991 . Reopened as a Metrolink station on15 June 1992 .Brooklands Station is a Grade II listed building.
