St. Bonaventure is recognized for its outstanding athletic program, especially in football. Playing in the Channel League, where St. Bonaventure is the only private school in a league of public school teams, St. Bonaventure has never lost a league football game since being admitted in 2002. St. Bonaventure has won six CIF-SS titles since 1999, including three in Division IV.
