Due to the new head teacher Jeremy Turner, Friern Barnet School has undergone many large changes.
One of the major changes so far for 2007-2008 is that the current year 10 has been changed into eight forms which aims to hold around 20 pupils each. Also the years 7s joined from September 2007 are also split into 8 forms. Then the next year (2008) year 7s will all be split in to 8 forms on arrival in September. Additionally the current year nines wil be split into 8 forms too and the current year 8's wil be split into eight forms once they reach year 10. Thus all the years will have 8 forms. The form names are; A for Adelphhi, B for Bennet, C for Chaplin, D for Duncan, E for Ellington, F for Fortune, G for Garick and H for Hepworth.
The building and playground has also taken a large transformation as the building is currently begin painted and the playground has got 5 new pingpong tables. The canteen now has an outside food court. Also new TV screens are being put up, next to the science blocks to make the school more interactive.
