Taihoku Prefecture (
Kanji : 台北州,Rōmaji : "Taihokushū") was created in 1920 under Japanese rule, encompassing what is nowTaipei County andTaipei City . Its office, which is now occupied by theControl Yuan of theRepublic of China , was in Taipei City. There were one city (市) and nine districts (郡) in Taihoku Prefecture in 1920.Population
