Addae was born to Freddie and Jennifer Addae. Shortly thereafter, the Addae's moved to Riverview, Florida, where Addae played football, lettered in track, participated in the
long jump ,100 meters , and a member of the relay team. Addae was first-team all-conference and all-county atRiverview High School , and was a Florida all-state selection. Addae recorded 67 tackles, 5interception s, and eighttouchdown s as a senior. Addae also set a Riverview High School 100-meter dash record with a 10.6 flat time. Freshman (2001)
Addae enrolled at
West Virginia University in 2001. Addae was planning to redshirt his freshman year, but an injury forced him into the game against the Miami Hurricanes. Addae's first appearance as a Mountaineer in a game he recorded five tackles against Miami. While playing on special teams and as safety against Rutgers, Addae recorded 10 tackles and recorded two tackles against Temple.ophomore (2002)
In Addae's sophomore year he won the starting
free safety job. Addae was second in theBig East with four interceptions and was fourth on his squad with 99 tackles. Early in the season, Addae suffered aconcussion and spinal contusion at the end of a two-a-days that kept him out of practice for two weeks. Addae recorded a team-high 13 tackles and a pass break-up against Wisconsin, 10 tackles in the win against Cincinnati, 11 tackles and his first career interception against East Carolina, 10 tackles and an interception against Syracuse, interception and three tackles against Temple, and 13 tackles against Virginia Tech. Addae also batted down aRod Rutherford pass on the Pitt's last drive. Addae was named defensive MVP against ECU and Syracuse.Junior (2003)
His true junior year was stopped after only four games due taking a medical redshirt after season-ending shoulder surgery. Junior (2004)
As a junior, Addae earned first-team All-Big East honors along with teammate and safety
Mike Lorello . After using a medical redshirt in 2003, Addae only recorded 59 tackles. Addae tallied 10 tackles against Virginia Tech, an interception on the first play of the Rutgers game, a 47-yard interception in win against Temple, and six tackles in 2005Gator Bowl loss to Florida State. Addae had surgery before the game against Maryland. His senior year, Addae started the season on the
Ronnie Lott Award watch list. Although he didn't win the best defensive back award, he was named to the All-Big East squad. Addae only recorded 64 tackles with two sacks his senior year, but did have five interceptions. With two minutes left in the fourth quarter of the Mountaineers' 45-13 win over Pitt, Addae intercepted aTyler Palko pass and took it 40 yards for a touchdown to seal the win.Pro career
Addae went unselected in the
2006 NFL Draft , but was later signed by theTampa Bay Buccaneers July 22, 2006. He was cut on July 21, to be then signed to thepractice squad of theIndianapolis Colts . He was signed to the Colts active roster on August 8, 2006.On
August 16 ,2006 , Addae was rushed to the local hospital after becoming ill during practice. He became light-headed during practice, but soon recovered after posting a temperature of 76 degrees. Following his departure from the NFL, Addae returned to West Virginia University as an assistant video graduate for the football team. He also coaches high school football at
Riverview High School , where his brother was a running back.
