The House Subcommittee on Horticulture and Organic Agriculture is a standing subcommittee within the House Agriculture Committee. It is the newest agricultural subcommittee, having been created at the start of the 110th Congress. It handles all matters relating to horticulture from the former Subcommittee on Livestock and Horticulture. Specific commodities and activities under its review are fruits and vegetables; honey and bees; marketing and promotion orders; plant pesticides, quarantine, adulteration of seeds, and insect pests; and organic agriculture.
