David John Leckie (born 14 February 1951) is the Chief Executive Officer of the Seven Media Group.[1]

David Leckie was educated at Newington College (1962-1968)[2] and is an Economics graduate of Macquarie University. Prior to his appointment by Kerry Stokes to Seven, he was associated with the Nine Network for 23 years. Having joined GTV-9 (Melbourne) as a sales executive, he was promoted to National Sales Manager, then Nine Network Sales Director in 1982 at TCN-9 (Sydney). In August 1990 he became Managing Director of the Nine Network and in 1994 was appointed Chief Executive Officer. In 2001 he was appointed a Trustee of the Centennial Park and Moore Park Trust.

On the 15 April 2008 it was revealed that Leckie had been placed in an induced coma, battling complications from a recent injury to his finger and has subsequently made a full recovery.[3]
