Rainbow Ski Area

Rainbow Ski Area

Rainbow Ski Area is a ski resort in the Tasman Region of New Zealand's South Island. Being towards the north of the island, it opens a little later than other ski resorts. The operating season is from mid-July to mid-October. The lifted area covers an elevation range of 1540 to 1768 metres, and it caters primarily to skiers of intermediate ability, citing a distribution of 25%/55%/20% beginner/intermediate/advanced level. While there is no accommodation at the resort, it is linked by shuttle to St Arnaud, 35 minutes away.
