Derek Taylor (sportscaster)

Derek Taylor is an anchor for the Fox Soccer Report on Fox Soccer Channel and Fox Sports World Canada. He joined the show in January 2007.[1]

Taylor was a news reporter for A-Channel Manitoba (later Citytv Winnipeg) from December 2001 to May 2003. He then became the weekend sports anchor and eventually sports anchor for Citytv News @ 6 from Monday-Friday. Taylor left Citytv July 12, 2006 after CHUM Limited cancelled news programming in most of its markets.

He began doing play-by-play for radio broadcasts of the University of Manitoba Bisons football team in 2006. He works with analysts Matt Rollason and Mike Howard on 101.5 UMFM.[2] The duo called the Bisons national championship win in November 2007.
