Borealis Exploration Ltd. is a Gibraltar-based research and development company that owns subsidiaries dealing with materials and power transfer. The company considers itself a virtual company, and is publicly traded.
Major Subsidiaries and operating units:
Boeing Phantom Works and Air Canada have successfully tested the Chorus Motor's Wheeltug electric-motor system for aircraft wheels.[1][dead link]. Delta Air Lines is scheduled to use Wheeltug in Boeing 737 NG aircraft in 2010.[2][dead link] although even company press releases end as of 2009 leaving this implementation timeline in doubt.[3].
Its Power Chips and Cool Chips subsidiaries are exploring thermotunnelling technology to increase the fuel-efficiency of automobiles.[4][5] Powerchips is listed on the Pinksheets exchange but is flagged there for not disclosing information and as of April 2011 the trading volume was zero for nearly six months.[6]
