Stockwood's first album,
1995 's "Bonavista", was a slow seller until it was rereleased in1996 with an extra track. That song, "Jerk", became Stockwood's breakthrough hit both in Canada and internationally. Her other early singles included "She's Not In Love", "You Won't Remember This" and "Enough Love".In
1999 , Stockwood released her second album, "12 Years Old". The title track from that album was a moderate hit. She also released "You and Me" and a new radio remix for "Still" was the album's third single.haye
2002 saw Kim collaborate with close friends
Tara MacLean andDamhnait Doyle to form the bandShaye . A tribute to Tara Maclean's sister Shaye Martirano, who died on May 24, 2002, as the result of injuries suffered in a motor vehicle accident earlier that day on the Trans-Canada Highway. Shaye's debut album "The Bridge" (produced byBill Bell andJay Joyce ) was released in 2003 onEMI Canada. The album features songs byRon Hynes ,Sinead Lohan andCrash Vegas . Support for the album included shows inCanada andJapan . "Happy Baby" the lead single, was nominated for Single of the Year at the 2004Juno Awards . This was followed by "Beauty" in January 2005.Their 2006 followup, "Lake of Fire" was released on
EMI Canada. It was exclusively available oniTunes in November 2006, then released physically in February 2007. It was produced byJay Joyce (Patty Griffin ,Tim Finn ,Chantal Kreviazuk ) and features songs byVan Morrison ,The Waterboys andRon Sexsmith .The packaging to "Lake of Fire" album was manufactured with 100% post-consumer recycled paper with guidance from the organization Zero Footprint. Where all the natural resources used to manufacture the album will be returned to the environment by planting trees and restoring watersheds. In addition the greenhouse gasses resulting from the printing, manufacturing and transportation of the CD will be mitigated through
carbon offsetting .Current Events
