Features

Original Dance Praise includes several features, some which are unique and cannot be found in other games.

Multiplayer

In this game, one can dance alone, or invite a second player to join in. The game may be played in either competition mode, where both players try to get the highest individual score, or cooperative mode, where both dancers play as a team to get the highest combined score. Lyrics

While dancing, the lyrics of the song show up. This can be seen in the upper screenshot. The audience can then sing along the music, making this a karaoke game to some degree. It is uncommon for the dancer to sing and dance simultaneously. This feature is also available in StepMania, and some derivatives of it, including In The Groove.

hadow Dance

This is a "follow the leader" game which requires two players and two dance pads. One is the leader, and the other is the follower. When the music starts, the leader makes steps that the follower must repeat. The follower is behind the leader in terms of beats. For this reason, the follower repeats the steps slightly after the leader makes them.

ong List

"Original Dance Praise", on its initial release, came with 52 songs from 24 different artists. The game's song list can be expanded by installing or any expansion pack.

Derivatives

"VeggieTales Dance Dance Dance"

This game features songs from the VeggieTales series. Similarly to the Original Dance Praise, it features over 50 songs, all from VeggieTales. It also supports two players, but its "Shadow Dance" mode has been renamed to "Follow the Leader".
