Stephanie Culberson of Nashville, Hood won theMiss Tennessee USA crown, becoming the fourth Miss Tennessee to win this title. She was crowned byAllison Alderson , who had crowned her Miss Tennessee. Hood competed in theMiss USA 2003 pageant broadcast live fromSan Antonio, Texas in March 2003, and placed fourth runner-up. She later crowned Culberson as Miss Tennessee USA 2004, completing a unique sequence of three consecutive Miss America state titleholders winning Miss USA state titles in succession.Hood, a graduate of Bradley Central High School graduated magna cum laude with a degree in public relations from
