Konzertino for Trombone and Orchestra, Op. 4 was composed by the German virtuoso violinist Ferdinand David in 1837. It is a well-known solo for trombonists and is one of the first pieces composed for the trombone in the western world. It consists of 3 movements (I. Allegro Maestoso II. Marcia Funebre III. Allegro Maestoso). There are recordings available by Michael Ostrander, Carl Lenthe, and Christian Lindberg.
