"You are a Supermodel" ( _ru. "Ты - супермодель") is a Russian reality show on the STS TV channel, a competition of non-professional aspiring models for a contract with the international model agency "Point Models" and a prize money of 250.000 Dollars. The anchor of the show for the first two cycles was Fyodor Bondarchuk (Федор Бондарчук). Then Alexander Tsekalo (Александр Цекало) took over for Cycle 3. The host of the fourth cycle is Bondarchuk's wife, popular presenter Svetlana Bondarchuk (Светлана Бондарчук).
Each Cycle consists of 12 Episodes with a live final in a TV studio. Safe for Cycle 1, when there were four girls left in the very last episode, the ranking order of the top 3 is determined in the final.
Each episode the usually 13 chosen finalists, who are living in a house together in Moscow, face different competitions in modeling, sports and entertainment with an elimination round at the end of each episode where one of them is send home until there is only the winner left: The "Supermodel of the Year".
Prominent faces of Russia's entertainment and modeling industry co-starr as mentors or guest judges, giving their opinions and deciding about the girls verdict at the end of the show. The main photographers, as of the end of Cycle 4, are Dmitry Zhuravlev and Vladimir Glynin.
The first Cycle was held in 2004 and was won by then 17 year old Ksenia Kahnovich who since the time of her victory emerged success in the modeling business with having walked on fashion shows for big names such as Versace, Louis Vitton, Christian Dior or Dolce and Gabbana in all New York, Paris and Milan and can easily be considered as one of the most successful winners resulting from a "Next Top Model"- casting show. Cycle two was held exactly one year after the first one and saw victory for Svetlana Sergienko, who was asked by then-Russian president Vladimir Putin to join the parliament as a representative for the growing modeling industry in Russia.
