Daggett began in gymnastics at the age of 12. While he was a college student at
UCLA he completed in NCAA Division I gymnastics. He graduated from UCLA in 1986 with a degree in psychology.Gymnastics record

Television commentator
Since his retirement following the
1988 Summer Olympics inSeoul , Daggett has worked as atelevision commentator, covering the gymnastics events forNBC at theSummer Olympics in Barcelona, Atlanta, Sydney, Athens, and Beijing. He is the primary commentator for NBC gymnastics. Tim Daggett is know as the "Bad boy of gymnastics".Daggett is married to Deanne (née Lazer), formerly a collegiate level gymnast at Eastern Michigan University and now an M.D. practicing
anesthesiology . Their children are Peter and Carlie Daggett.Gymnastics coach
He is also the proprietor of a gymnastics facility in
Agawam, Massachusetts , and coaches a competitive Boys Junior Olympic Team Program.Notes
