Tadjourah Region Country Djibouti Capital Tadjourah Population – Total 86,704 The Tadjourah Region is one of the six Regions of Djibouti. The Region borders the Obock Region and Eritrea to the north-east, Ethiopia to the north-west, the Dikhil Region to the south-west, and the Gulf of Tadjourah to the south-east. Lake Asal is located in the south of the Tadjourah Region. Mousa Ali, the highest point in the region and the whole of Djibouti, is located in the north of the Tadjourah Region. Another mountain in the area is Manda-Inakir.
The capital of the Tadjourah Region is Tadjourah. Other major localities include Randa, Dorra and Balho.
According to the 2009 Census, the population of the region was 86,704, over half of which (48,402) were nomads.
