The Hereford Times is a weekly tabloid newspaper published every Thursday in Hereford, England. Its offices are based in Holmer Road and its current editor is Liz Griffin. The newspaper covers events across the county of Herefordshire as well as some on the outskirts of Worcestershire.

The newspaper was founded as a broadsheet in 1832 by Charles Anthony [Hereford Times (2003-09-23) " [http://archive.herefordtimes.com/2003/9/25/29122.html "When the editor threw an angry reader downstairs"] ", retrieved 2007-01-28] and until recently was published in two separate editions, the North County edition and the City & South edition.

The newspaper is owned by Newsquest Media Group which was acquired by the Gannett corporation in 1999. The Newsquest head office is based in Weybridge, Surrey and employs a total of more than 9,100 people across the UK.

With 300 titles to its name, Newsquest is the second largest publisher of regional and local newspapers in the United Kingdom.

In September 2005, Newsquest bought Exchange & Mart and Auto Exchange from United Advertising Publications, after UAP merged with sister company CMPi in a restructuring of US parent UBM [2]
