Alvin Springer

Alwin Springer was one of 3 founding partners in Andial with Arnold Wagner and Dieter Inzenhofer (the company names consisted of the two letters of each founders' forename - Arnold, Dieter, and Alwin), a world renowned builder and tuner of Porsche road and race cars in Santa Ana, California.

Alwin, Dieter, and Arnold, who emigrated from Germany in the 1970's, had a long relationship with Porsche AG and Porsche cars as well as building the engines of Al Holbert's IMSA GTP winning Porsche 962, that after Holbert's untimely death. Springer was recruited by Porsche AG to head Porsche Motorsport North America (PMNA) in 1990. He managed PMNA as well as his duties at Andial as a consultant until 1996 and became President of PMNA in 1997 until his retirement in February 2004. The racing side of the Andial operation was basically converted to PMNA's facility and in 2007 the former building of Andial became a part of the PMNA complex.

Before Alwin moved to PMNA the 3 person Andial team was responsible for many sports car wins on the track including many 962's, 935's, 911's, and many others
