Coming from a musical family in
Paisley , Jackson started playing guitar at the age of nine and wrote her first song at eleven. By the age of fifteen she was performing professionally with a country band called Jacksonville. Attended Gleniffer High School was in the same year asDavid Sneddon winner ofFame Academy .In 2003, Jackson attracted wider interest as lead vocalist of the Scottish pop-rock group Speedway, which she had formed with Jim Duguid when she was twenty. Although well-received by the British press [http://www.music-news.com/ShowReview.asp?nReviewID=114&nType=4] , Speedway had limited chart success, and split up in 2004.
In early 2006, Jackson released her first solo album. Two tracks from her solo album were covered by
