Lime Rock (Salisbury)

Lime Rock is a neighborhood in the village of Lakeville, Connecticut, United States, situated on the Salmon Kill.

Lime Rock was the home of the Barnum and Richardson Company, which made it the capitol of the historic iron industry of the upper Housatonic Valley. U.S. Senator William Henry Barnum, the chief executive of Barnum and Richardson, resided in Lime Rock and is buried in the Lime Rock Cemetery. After Barnum and Richardson closed its eastern works, the village became home of the Lime Rock Artists Association.

Today it is best known as the location of Lime Rock Park and the automobile racing course.
