Alanzinho is uncapped for his home country. If he takes up Norwegian nationality during the next couple of years he may opt to play for them, since his chances of playing in the famous Brazilian shirt would be considered quite slim. In an interview with Norwegian tv-channel TV2 in May 2008 Alanzinho said: "I love this country. I think I prefer Norway now, because I've been in Norway for three years.
