Bernard Devlin (Roman Catholic Bishop)

Bernard Patrick Devlin (born 10 March, 1921) is a retired Roman Catholic Bishop of the Diocese of Gibraltar. He was born in Youghal, County Cork, Ireland. He was ordained a priest on 9 December, 1945. On 20 October, 1984 he was appointed Bishop of his home diocese [ [http://www.catholic-hierarchy.org/bishop/bdevlin.html Ordination of Bishop Devlin] ] . He was ordained a bishop on 6 January, 1985. The Principal Consecrator was Pope John Paul II; his Principal Co-Consecrators were Cardinal Eduardo Somalo and Cardinal Lourdusamy. He retired his appointment on 14 February, 1998.
