It is presently managed by the College of Information and Communications Technology of ISCOF. The station is for information dissimination among students, entertainment, technology transfer, news, and music. It also serves as training ground for BS Information Technology students in their multimedia classes and electronics and data communication courses. The station broadcasts from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
History
DYIS was established in August 2002 as DYSF 104.5 MHz FM by the Center for Educational Technology-School of the future of ISCOF headed by Dr. Janeth D. Demegillo with the assistance of Prof. Antonio A. Cañonero (KBP - Kapisan ng mga Brodkaster sa Pilipinas} accredited broadcaster), Prof. Leo Minoza, and Prof. Florence May D. Malinao. With the license granted by the NTC {National Telecommmunications Commission} on August 2004, the station was assigned the call sign DYIS and its frequency moved to 106.7 MHz. Dr. Janeth Demegillo was the first station Manager and Prof. Antonio Canonero the Production Manager. Engr. Broz Binueza ECE and Rex Resol 3rd Class Radio Tel. Op. were the technical men.[citation needed]
Presently, DYIS is managed by Prof. Antonio A. Canonero as station manager and Engr. Res Jandonero as Broadcast Engineer with Mr. Rex Resol as Chief Technician. It operates under NTC Temp. Permit No. BSD 0410-2004(REN) to expire on August 14, 2012.
