Gul Hamid

Gul Hamid was one of the most famous movie actors of the Indian Sub-continent before the separation of Pakistan and India. He died before the Independence of Pakistan from Hodgkin's Disease (a type of cancer).

Life

Gul Hamid Khan was married to Patience Cooper from 1930-1936, one of the first early silent movie actors. Cooper changed her name to Sabra Begum. She fostered and/or adopted 17 children during her lifetime. After Pakistan's independence she lived in Chittagong, Bangladesh where she led an anonymous life. Cooper passed away in 1995.Gul Hamid belongs from pirpiai.A beautiful village near kabul river.His father name was SAIF ULLAH KHAN .Gul Hamid khan had Three brothers named Abdul Hameed Khan,Gul jamal Khan and Sayed jamal khan.
