Dr. Francis Reitmann (died 1954) was a British
psychiatrist . After studying withLadislas J. Meduna in the 1930s, he worked atMaudsley Hospital and later withEric Cunningham Dax atNetherne Hospital inCoulsdon [ Kirkby, K.C. Reitmann followed the theory ofbiological psychiatry that organic defects were the sole source of mental illness [ Reitman, F.
