The Kiev metropolitan area ( _uk. Київська агломерація; "Kyivs’ka ahlomeratsia") is an
agglomeration consisting of the capital ofUkraine ,Kiev , its satellite towns and nearest rural areas ("located withinKiev Oblast ") closely bound to the city by employment and commerce.The metropoliten area includes the following cities: Kiev,
Berezan ,Boryspil ,Brovary ,Vasylkiv ,Irpin ,Rzhyschiv , andFastiv .It also includes 11
raion s of Kiev Oblast: Baryshivskyi, Boryspilskyi, Borodianskyi, Brovarskyi, Fastivskyi, Kaharlytskyi, Kyievo-Sviatoshynskyi, Makarivskyi, Obukhivskyi, Vasylkivskyi and Vyshhorodskyi.The area is linked to Kiev through the suburban railways and minibuses.
