Kamalapuram is a mandal (township) in the
Kadapa district in theIndia n state ofAndhra Pradesh .It is 23 kilometres away from the city of Kadapa, located on the Kadapa-Tadipatri highway. The mandal is primarily
agricultural . ThePapaghni and Penna rivers are the main sources forirrigation and drinking water.The Kamalapuram
railway station was built under British rule and is one of the oldest railway stations inIndia . On the Papaghni river there is largerailway bridge connecting Kamapuram with Kadapa. A second bridge is under construction parallel to this old bridge as part of a line expansion fromRenigunta toGuntakal .There is an
