Warrant of Fitness

The Warrant of Fitness is an annual (for vehicles under six years old) or six monthly (for vehicles over six years old) test of car safety and roadworthiness aspects applicable to most vehicles under 3500kg Gross Vehicle Mass in New Zealand if they are used on public roads.

Many local car repair garages throughout New Zealand are authorised to perform testing and to issue Warrants of Fitness.
