The station signed off on October 27, 2003, after losing the UPN affiliation to the new, full-powered Fox affiliate, WMQF.
The station originally broadcast on channel 49, but would move to channel 25 in the late-1990s.
WUPT also had a translator in Republic, Michigan, WUPT-LP channel 43.
