State Route 205 or SR-205 is a 16 mile long route that serves as a connection between the towns of Guntersville in Marshall County and Boaz in Etowah County. The route serves as an alternate to U.S. Highway 431 through the area.

Route description

The northern terminus of SR-205 is located at its northern intersection with U.S. Highway 431 in southern Guntersville. From this point, the route travels in a southeasterly direction in route to Albertville. From central Albertville, it travels in a more south-southeasterly direction in route to its southern terminus with U.S. Highway 431 in southern Boaz. SR-205 is routed along the roadway formerly designated at US-241. During the 1940s, US-241 was relocated to the current routing of US-431 and US-241 was changed to US-431 in 1953. In 2006, the portion of Highway 205 in Etowah County is called The Jack Toney Memorial Highway
