The point is accessed with an earthened road that link with Mindelo. The cape divides the Canal de São Vicente and the Mindelo Bay, the nearby islet of Ilhéu dos Pássaros is approximately 600 to 800 m to the west-southwest. The line is from southeast to northwest.
