Belgian Sportsman of the year

The Belgian Sportsman of the Year is elected at the end of each year, annually since 1967. Cyclist Eddy Merckx was chosen for a record six times (1969–1974). Since 1975 there's also an election for the Belgian Sportswoman of the Year.
