- Khuddakapatha
The Khuddakapatha (IAST|-pāṭha;
Pali for "short passages"; abbreviated as "Khp") is a Buddhist scripture, the first collection of discourses ("suttas ") in theKhuddaka Nikaya of thePali Canon ofTheravada Buddhism. It includes texts essential to Buddhist disciples.Contents
The collection is composed of the following nine discourses:
# "Going for Refuge" ("Sarana Gamana")
# "Ten Precepts" ("Dasa Sikkhapada")
# "Thirty-two Parts [of the Body] " ("Dvattimsakara") [Cf.Patikulamanasikara for an enumeration and traditional contextualization of the canonical identification of thirty-one or thirty-two body parts.]
# "Novice's Questions" ("Samanera Pañha")
# "Discourse on Blessings" ("Mangala Sutta ")
# "Discourse on Treasures" ("Ratana Sutta ")
# " [Hungry Shades] Outside the Wall Chapter" ("Tirokudda Kanda")
# "Reserve Fund Chapter" ("Nidhi Kanda")
# "Discourse on Lovingkindess" ("Karaniya Metta Sutta ")The Khuddakapatha is considered a late addition to the
