York Regional Road 38

York Regional Road 38 or Bathurst Street is a north-south thoroughfare travels from Toronto, Ontario into York Region.

North of Steeles Avenue, Bathurst runs through York Region, and is also referred to as York Regional Road 38. It serves as the boundary between Vaughan and Richmond Hill north of Highway 407, as well as King Township and both Newmarket and Aurora.

Bathurst Street ends at the Holland Marsh, between Holland Landing (in East Gwillimbury) and Bradford. It is interrupted for roughly 500 m due to rugged terrain north of Morning Sideroad, north of Newmarket.

From the King Rd - Wellington St stretch of Bathurst St has been widened from 2 lanes (1 lane in each direction) to 4 lanes (2 lanes in Each Direction) and opened of Autumn 2007, the process from the widening project involved constructing a new bridge from the stretch to carry 2 northbound lanes, the previous bridge that used to carry 2 lanes is now carrying 2 southbound lanes, another process from the widening project involved constructing a middle left turn lane from King Rd - South of Bloomington Rd. the stretch of that project started on Fact|date=October 2007 to Autumn 2007

Public Transportation

York Region Transit (YRT) runs several routes along Bathurst Street, including the 88 Bathurst from Finch Bus Terminal to Seneca College King Campus, part of Viva Purple, 90 Leslie South, and other connections at the Promenade Terminal.
