Texas Lions Camp

Texas Lions Camp is a 500-acre therapedic summer camp facility located in Kerrville (58 miles (93 km) northwest of San Antonio) for Texas-area children with physical disabilities such as cancer, diabetes, etc.

History

The Texas Lions Camp was first established in 1949 in response to the horrendous Polio epidemic [http://www.cloudnet.com/~edrbsass/poliodefinition.htm] that forever changed the lives of hundreds of Texas children. It has since then helped additional kids with other physical disabilities and mental handicaps.
