November 27 2006 as the second single from that album in Australia. The song became controversial when the lead singer (at a concert) announced the song was aboutParis Hilton . A music video was made for the single. Rip It Up was originally titled Nothing To Lose. Rip It Up debuted at #67 on the ARIA Singles Charts and peaked at #49 for one week before leaving the top 50 altogether.
The song was also featured on the soundtrack for the2007 animation film TMNT and in the 2008 comedy "Drillbit Taylor ". It was also played as a safety-car song in the2007 Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000 . It was also played at the2007 AFL Grand Final in the opening ceremony on the day. The song features a line fromThe Wizard Of Oz "I'm Gunna Getcha My Pretty, and Your Little Dog Too".Recently in Australia the song has be used in Holden commercials.
The song was released in the UK as the fourth single from Shine On and a limited edition "7" vinyl was released there. The song failed to chart.
