High School Affiliated to Fudan University (复旦大学附属中学, 复旦附中)is located Shanghai, near Fudan University campus, and is among the most prestigious high schools in Shanghai. Each year the high school produces several hundreds of graduates most of whom get admitted into well-established universities around China as well as in foreign countries. Traditionally, however, Fudan University, one of the top universities in China, takes in most of the top graduates from the high school. The admission to the high school is open to every middle school graduates in the great area of Shanghai City and is highly competitive.

High School Affiliated to Fudan University, a boarding key school, is now under co-direction of Shanghai Education Commission and Fudan University. Two reading rooms for the students in the school library with an area of 615 square meters are capable of seating an audience of 364. One room for the teaching materials has dominated an area of 175.6 square meters. Approximately, the information on one hundred thousand volumes in the electronic reading room has been stored in the computer system. The number of current faculty members amounts to 180, of whom 112 are teachers including two master teachers working nowadays. Five more master teachers who were retired are again employed to direct the school education. 45 teachers enjoy the senior professional titles and 46 are the teachers with junior professional titles. 1115 students are well classified into 25 classes from Senior One to Senior Three.

The well-designed composition contest, the competitive Olympic contest, and Leida contest for science and technology of any kind can see the first, the second and the third winners coming from this school. As a result, these achievements have gained the fame for school, for Shanghai and even for the country. Among 300 students, about 100 are lucky enough to be admitted into Fudan University each year.
