"September" (sometimes called "Dancing in September") is a song written by Maurice White, Al McKay and Allee Willis, and recorded as a hit single by Earth, Wind & Fire in 1978. *A cover version of the song also appears during a stage of the Nintendo DS video game "Elite Beat Agents". This song is one of the few in the game where the instrumentals "do not" get solos for the breaks/cutscenes, but instead the vocalist keeps singing.
