X Factor (Netherlands)

"X Factor", the Dutch version of the British show "The X Factor" started screening in late 2006 on RTL 4. The judges were Marianne van Wijnkoop, Henk Temming and Henkjan Smits, the series was hosted by Wendy van Dijk. The series is a postcursor to "Idols" which features contestants & one jury member from both season. The series was won by Sharon Kips with contestant Richy Brown coming second. Since the series ended, both Sharon and Richy have gone on to have top 10 success in the Dutch Charts, with Sharon's second single and album reaching the Dutch Top 10, and Richy releasing a song entitled "Ga Je Mee" ("Go For It").
