Notable_instruments =The Robot Ate Me was an experimental
indie rock band formed by Ryland Bouchard in2002 . Their critically acclaimed albums alternate between accessible pop and obscure musical art projects that either tend to annoy or astonish. After releasing "Good World" in2006 Babysue described the band as "one of the most unpredictable and obtuse underground bands around." In2005 , Bouchard moved toAnacortes, Washington then, in2006 , moved toPortland, Oregon where he currently lives. Bouchard has toured solo since2005 and is known for having fairly unpredictable live performances. In2003 , Bouchard toured with David Greenberg, Are-Jay Hoffman and William Haworth. Also, the bandOh No! Oh My! got their name from The Robot Ate Me's song of the same name from the albumOn Vacation .In 2007 Ryland Bouchard announced that he would no longer release records as The Robot Ate Me.
