Episode recap

Jon brings home a talking bathroom scale that also tells people their fortune. He decides to slip out of his heavy clothes before he tests it.Garfield tries it out before Jon does. The Scale said to Garfield that he's 20 pounds overweight and his fortune was he will get splutted by a banana cream pie which happened a few seconds later. Then Garfield sneakily tampers with the scale and didn't tell Jon that he had tampered with it. Jon tries it out and learns that he was 50 pounds overweight and his fortune was he will go on a strict diet. After lunch Jon was going to workout and asks Garfield to join him. Jon started with some jogging(but he fell right through a manhole.). Then they tried lifting weights (and Jon crashed into the wall and looked like he was a hunted Grizzly Bear.). Then they tried Jumping Jacks (and Garfield sped up the Record Player and almost made Jon fly. Garfield turned the Record Player off, and Jon fell to the ground. Ker-Boom!).... Garfield decided that Jon worked so hard that he'll put the scaleback to normal weight after testing it. When Jon tested it, the bathroom scale declared that it was Garfield all along who made him think that he was 50 pounds overweight and that he will punish Garfield. Jon chased Garfield away outside and into the sunset, The Scale remarked that Jon and Garfield lived heavily ever after.

Notes

*Odie does not appear in this episode.

Goofs

*The back cover of Jon’s diet book is treated as the front cover.
*Garfield says that he will set the scale back to accurate weight, but he never actually does -- yet the scale still gives accurate weight measurements for himself and Jon.
