National Rail station on theGreat Western Main Line out of the terminus at London Paddington. The station is served by local trains operated byFirst Great Western between Paddington and Greenford. It is inTravelcard Zone 3 .Train services from the station were reduced in 2004 when
First Great Western won the franchise fromThames Trains , with no services into London after 22:10, or westward after 22:52. Trains run about every half hour in the daytime, with no service on Sundays. It is the only station between Paddington and Heathrow Airport that is not served by theHeathrow Connect service.The station will be served far more regularly when Crossrail line 1 is built; with around eight trains an hour continuing past Paddington on the western branch.

Opened by the
Great Western Railway , the station passed on to theWestern Region of British Railways onnationalisation in 1948.When Sectorisation was introduced, the station was served by
Network SouthEast until thePrivatisation of British Rail ways. Trains of the Intercity Sector passed through on theGreat Western Main Line .References
