The Ottawa Business Journal is a regional business publication serving Canada's National Capital Region. Founded in 1995, it is owned by Great River Media[1]and published on a biweekly basis with a circulation of 20,000 copies. Over its first decade, the Ottawa Business Journal has been recognized as a leading source of local business information. In addition to its weekly newspaper, the Ottawa Business Journal also includes the largest business-related website in Ottawa, Ontario.
The Ottawa Business Journal also publishes several annual and biannual magazines and directories, including the Ottawa Technology Magazine, the Book of Lists, Ottawa HR, Meeting In The Capital and the Commercial Space Directory (owned by BOMA Ottawa).
The Ottawa Business Journal also produces two of the city's largest business award programs -- the Forty Under 40 Awards and the CEO of the Year Award.
The current publisher is Michael Curran. The current editor is Peter Kovessy, and the staff reporter is Elizabeth Howell.

History
The Ottawa Business Journal was founded in 1995 by Mark Sutcliffe. Until Recently it was owned by Transcontinental Inc. On August 18, 2010 Michael Curran, publisher of OBJ since 2002, Mark Sutcliffe, a Citizen columnist and a founder of the OBJ, and Donna Neil, a former OBJ manager were to take over ownership.[2]

New Look
On Dec 14, 2009 the Ottawa Business Journal moved its website to Transcontinental's United Newspaper Information System (UNIS) platform. The old archives, message boards and polls could not be immediately transferred and as a result are no longer available to the public.
