Justin Wakeland High School is a high school located in Frisco, Texas, part of the Frisco Independent School District. The school is located at 10700 Legacy Dr.

It opened for the first time to students on August 14, 2006. Most sophomores and juniors were transferred from Frisco High School because of expansion of the city and Frisco ISD. Incoming freshman usually came from Griffin Middle School, and others from Staley Middle School.

Wakeland is run by principal Dr. Farish and vice-principals Mr. Durand, Mr. Littlejohn, Mrs. Heard, and Mr. Gibson. There are an estimated 154 staff members for the 2007-08 school year.

The school's mascot is the wolverine and the school colors are blue, orange and white.

Wakeland High School is currently composed of 9th, 10th, 11th, & 12th grade students. In 2006-2007, the school only had 9th through 11th graders.

The school started a great first year, with major accomplishments for all the sports teams, along with new activities.

Beginning this school year, University of North Texas offers select MBA classes to Collin County students at a branch campus. There is now a Texans' Credit Union located in the school for students and staff.

Namesake

The school is named after Dr. Justin Wakeland, who served as the superintendent of the Frisco ISD for 19 years, preceding the current superintendent Dr. Rick Reedy.

Media

The school has a bi-weekly television show called Win-TV, which features many interesting segments and interviews about what's happening at Wakeland High.

Wakeland Access, the newspaper, is sent around at lunch every so often that features various articles about events at the school.

The yearbook staff compiles a yearbook for the school. The yearbook for the 2006-2007 school year was titled "Blueprints" in honor of the school's first year. The second volume for the 2007-2008 school year was titled "Coming Full Circle" in honor of the school finishing it's 1st year with all 4 grades and having it's 1st graduating class.
