Bullard High School is a public secondary school located in Fresno, California. The school serves about 2650 students in grades 9-12 in the Fresno Unified School District.

General information

Bullard High School was founded in 1955. The principal is Glenn Starkweather. Each grade has over 500 students in it.

Ethnic composition

As of the 2007-2008 school year, the student population was 52% White, 30% Hispanic, 10% African American, 5% Asian and 3% Other. Approximately 5% of the students have been identified as English Language Learners.

Athletics

Bullard High School offers a comprehensive Division I interscholastic athletics program with 22 different varsity-level sports.

The Bullard athletics program has produced Major League Baseball players like Steve Ellsworth, Dave Meier, Stan Papi, Randy Asadoor and Rex Hudler. In the 2006-2007 school year, the Bullard Football team made history when their freshman went 10-0 and won league championship.Their 2008 boys' volleyball team won the valley title and was ranked seventh in the nation.Bullard is currently an official host of the podcast Feckless Film.
