Noble Gundam

Noble Gundam

, alternately known as Noble Gundam, is a mobile suit from the animated series Mobile Fighter G Gundam.

History

This Gundam is piloted by 17 year old Allenby Beardsley who represents Neo Sweden. Not much is known about this Gundam until the semi-finals of the 13th Gundam Fight. The protagonist of the story (Domon Kasshu of Neo Japan) is introduced to Nobel Gundam through his fellow Shuffle Alliance member Argo Gulskii (Neo Russia) after he loses a match to her. The surprising thing about this defeat was that it took less than 1 minute for Neo Russia's Bolt Gundam to fall victim to the Nobel Gundam. Domon eventually bumps into Nobel's pilot Allenby at a video game arcade. Eventually Nobel Gundam and Domon's God Gundam in the semi finals. During the fight the Nobel's Berserker System activates which puts pressure on Domon to win. Through his Shuffle crest and Bakunetsu God Finger Domon saves Allenby and Nobel from the Berserker System, which was destroyed making it impossible for Neo Sweden to use in later fights. Later on through the tournament Domon and Allenby tag team to continue to the finals.

While the tournament is going on, Neo Hong Kong's Prime Minister Wong Yunfat is plotting with Master Asia to revive the Devil Gundam which was defeated by Domon in the Guyana Highlands. Wong is transfixed by Allenby, the Nobel Gundam, and the Berserker System and so he kidnaps Neo Sweden's Dr. Bellymen so he can instruct himself on the use of the Berserker System. In one of the matches (Neo Russia and Neo Canada versus Neo Japan and Neo Sweden) Wong activiates the Berserker system on the Nobel Gundam which almost results in the death of Neo Canada's fighter Andrew Graham. Once the system shuts off Nobel Gundam is set ablaze and Allenby passed out. Wong sends out a medical team to retrieve Allenby but actually takes her back to his residence to study her and make her become the pilot for the Devil Gundam. All the other nations and fighters assume that Allenby has been kidnapped but they have no clue where she was taken.

It is unclear as to what actually happened to Allenby and Nobel Gundam in the care of Wong but all we see of them is Allenby sleeping in a glowing chamber. One could imagine that she was infected with Devil Gundam cells, that Nobel Gundam was infected so that it could transform into one of the four kings of the Devil Gundam, the Walter Gundam, and that a berserker system receiver was implanted into Walter Gundam to bring out the true fighting capabilities. In conclusion when she would face Domon, she would be infected by DG cells and be in Berserker mode.

As the final battle began on Lantau Island, when all the fighters where gathering, Domon saw a quick flash that may have looked like Nobel Gundam. Eventually the Devil Gundam makes an appearance and all hell breaks loose. The Kings are summoned one by one to take on the Shuffle Alliance. After Domon gets past Heaven's Sword Gundam and Grand Gundam he sees nothing but Master Gundam (Master Asia's Gundam) and the Devil Gundam but all of a sudden Nobel Gundam appears from the ground. Domon realizes that Allenby is infected with DG cells and that reasoning won't work. Then Nobel Gundam begins her attack on the God Gundam forcing it off a cliff and pinned it against the ground. It seemed as though Allenby won but then out of the blue Neo Japan's Rising Gundam (piloted by Domon's crew partner Rain Mikamura) comes and tackles Nobel Gundam away from God Gundam. From there battle quickly goes under water and Rising Gundam has Nobel Gundam in a head lock. Then Wong orders Allenby to get back to the mainland as "Allenby! Slave to the Darkness!". Nobel Gundam breaks free from Rising Gundam and curls up into a ball transforming into Walter Gundam. As the fight continues with Allenby and Rain, Allenby professes her love for Domon. Then they both wind up on the Hong Kong Mainland fighting on the fighters ring to Wong's palace. Allenby even accidentally fired a shot at Wong with her lazers. Rain was able to defeat Allenby by using Rising Gundam's move Rising Arrow. Walter Gundam was destroyed and Allenby was saved. There is no indication of if Nobel Gundam had survived this.

Allenby was taken to a hospital and cared for by Rain's father, Dr. Mikamura. He was able to wipe the DG cells from her body. As Domon won the championship Allenby was on bedrest until Domon came to her looking for Rain. Allenby told Domon that Rain never wanted to see him again (because she thinks even it's her dad's fault for the Devil Gundam it's hers by means of association). Domon immediately takes off looking for Rain and finds out that Major Ulube Ishikawa (Neo Japan's Military Supervisor) has captured her and the Devil Gundam. He plans to use Rain as the life force unit and use Neo Japan colony as the Devil Gundam's domain. Ulube then declares that Neo Japan will rule earth and space forever with the Devil Gundam. This obviously upset the other colonies and the United Federation of Colonies treaty was broken. There was war among the colonies against Neo Japan. With that said Neo Sweden took action by sending Allenby and a new Nobel Gundam into space. Neo Sweden also gave other Gundams rockets to ride on so they can get into space. Nobel Gundam was seen fighting off the tentacles that were heading towards earth with the other Gundams from Earth. The Devil Gundam was feeding off of Rain's emotions which made it invincible. Then when Domon finally reached Rain and the Devil Gundam (in its final form) he was beaten because he couldn't hurt the dark Gundam without hurting Rain. Then Allenby came in and told Domon to tell Rain that he loved her. Allenby then said that if you didn't tell Rain then she (as in Allenby) would never get to love Domon. So Domon tells Rain that he loves her and she breaks free of the Devil Gundam. Then they attacked the Devil Gundam and killed it. In the end Nobel Gundam and Allenby just stand and watch Domon and Rain ride off on Fuun Saiki and God Gundam into their future.

Body

Though the Gundam is symbolizing Neo Sweden, it looks more like a Japanese school girl or a robotic Sailor Moon. Since it is a female Gundam the body frame is much smaller than all the other Gundams. Its frame also shows that it is quite weak and that without its speed and the pilot's extraordinary fighting skills it would surely lose a fight. Unlike the other Gundams like the Shuffle Alliance, there is no corelander on her back which would probably make her slower then others.

Berserker Nobel Gundam

The Berserker System is an invention that the Neo Sweden military uses on Nobel Gundam. The primary inventor was Dr. Bellymen. When the Berserker System activates, Nobel Gundam's body transforms so it can increase its power and speed. The transformation is that her blonde "hair" begins to raise up high, then a jet pack appears from her back, and finally she changes color from white to a pinkish red color. As the Gundam changes the pilot (Allenby) changes to a fighting machine with no conscience and her fighting power is raised 120%. When the Berserker System is either de-activated or destroyed the Nobel Gundam (and pilot) usually pass out from exhaustion or suffer damage causing it to lose.

Trivia

* Episode 29 of Yakitate Japan!, featuring the Black Tri-Stars and their traditional Dom mobile suits, as well as the Nobel Gundam from G-Gundam, piloted by Yukino, who appears to be wearing the uniform of Sayla Mass. The parody was so elaborate that a disclaimer was displayed assuring the viewer that the show was still, in fact, Yakitate!! Japan.
